Registration Steps
- Get a USATF Card and Age Verification:
- Obtain a USATF membership card - USATF Membership
- Verify age with a birth certificate if not done previously. This can take some time so get started asap.
- When Asked: Affiliation: NJ Striders (NJ Association - 07, Club Number - 0109)
- Fee: $30 (yearly for youth membership)
2. Register for the Meet:
- Once you have the USATF registration, register for the state meet on Athletic.net.
- Athletic.net is also where you will register for the regional and national meet.
- I made a video last year that takes you through most steps. Unfortunately I couldn't do all the steps because I was already registered but it should still be helpful. Demo Video of Registering for Meets on Athletic.net
Summary of Qualifying and Registration Process:
- Finish in the top 8 at any NJStriders meet.
- Sign up for a USATF youth membership.
- Create an account on Athletic.net and link your USATF number.
- Register for the meets you’ll attend.
Advice: Both the USATF and Athletic.net sites can be a bit user-unfriendly. Also age verification can take some time. Give yourself plenty of time to navigate through the process.
