Volunteer Coaching
Volunteer coaching is a fantastic way to make a positive impact in the lives of kids and your community. Ask any volunteer coach and they'll tell you, we get a lot more in return than what we give. No experience necessary. All you need is a desire to be a positive influence.
The more coaches we have available, the better experience we can provide for the kids. Whatever your experience in this sport, from completely new to competitive, we will find a way to put you in the best position to help the kids, our program, and have lots of fun too.
Prefer not to coach but still want to help? We could use your volunteer help in multiple non-coaching areas including administrative, fundraising, helping at meets, and many other areas. It takes a village to run successful programs.

Rutgers SAFETY: Sometimes the town offers these courses in person. For the latest information on those dates email our rec department @ sbrec@saddlebrooknj.gov

Saddle Brook Recreation Volunteer Background Check
- Go to www.njsp.org and click on Criminal History Records Info
- Click on VRO
- Click on Youth Serving Organization Volunteer service code 2F1J3Y. It will take you directly to scheduling an appointment. Please keep in mind your vrn "B08003" must be put in the "Contributor's Case Number" box.

*Save your receipt (for the background check) so that you can be reimbursed by the Rec department once your results come through.
Your SAFETY course is good for life and is required for all Saddle Brook sports. The background needs to be completed every two years.
